Frequently Asked Questions

A neuropsychologist is a clinical psychologist who specializes in understanding the relationship between the physical brain/central nervous system and behavior; more specifically, how brain structures and systems relate to thinking, learning, and functioning.

Many services are covered by insurance. We will run your insurance benefits and will provide you with coverage information prior to your first appointment.

We are happy to conduct intake, therapy, and evaluation feedback appointments virtually via our HIPAA compatible system. Administration of evaluations must be in-person, although intakes and feedbacks can be virtual.

Dr. Lima does NOT provide court ordered evaluations, or parenting evaluations. He does, however, provide some evaluations at the request of an attorney to better understand cognitive and neurocognitive functions. Have your attorney get in contact with us for rates and additional information.

We have a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel your appointment less than 24-hours before your appointment, we will charge a $200 cancellation fee (unless we both agree that the appointment was unable to be kept due to circumstances beyond your control). No shows will for therapy appointments will  be charged a $200 no-show fee, and no show/late cancellations for evaluations will be charged a $500 fee. Insurance does NOT cover no-show or late cancellation fees.
